01

Sizing & fit

Sizing shifts during postpartum. The band stretches across roughly 2–3 cup sizes, and if you're unsure before ordering, we'll help.

  • Which size should I order?

Measure under-bust and fullest cup with a soft tape, ideally between feeds. The size guide maps the cm to your size, with postpartum engorgement built in.

Unsure? Reply to your order confirmation and we'll pick with you before we ship.

  • I'm between sizes. What now?

Size up, not down. Your cup size in week 2 isn't your cup size in week 8, and a slightly looser bra is more forgiving than a tight one.

  • Does the bra grow with me?

Yes. The soft stretch knit adapts as your breast size fluctuates between feeds. It holds across the normal day-to-day variation, roughly 2–3 cup sizes within one band.

  • Can I wear it during late pregnancy?

You can, and many mothers do, it's wireless, the band is broad, and the soft cup adapts. The absorbent core is built for postpartum, so during pregnancy it's a comfortable maternity bra rather than a leak-stopper. The real benefit kicks in after birth.

  • How tight should the band feel?

Snug, not tight. You should be able to slide two fingers under the band without effort. Postpartum is not the moment for compression, too tight, and you risk blocked ducts. If it digs in or rides up, size up.

  • Will it still fit after breastfeeding?

Yes. Many mothers keep wearing it as a soft daily bra. The wireless build and broad band make it comfortable as everyday wear. Not a contoured bra for fitted outfits, but designed for long-term daily comfort.

Product & care

Built around the leak. 30 ml absorption per cup. OEKO-TEX® Class I certified, the strictest safety tier for textiles in contact with babies.

  • Will it stop me leaking through?

Yes, for the typical between-feed leak. Each cup absorbs up to 30 ml, equivalent to two saturated nursing pads. For heavier let-downs, a second bra in rotation handles the day.

  • How does the absorption work?

    The cup has four layers:

    • Wicking layer against the skin, moves moisture away from you.
    • Absorbent core, holds the milk.
    • Barrier layer, stops anything from reaching your shirt.
    • Soft outer shell, looks and feels like a normal bra.

No pads, no inserts, no extra steps. Just the bra.

  • Can I wear it without nursing pads?

Yes, that's the point. The absorbent layer replaces the pad. A breastfeeding mother typically uses 60–70 disposable pads a month, and this bra replaces them. Some mothers still add a pad on heavy let-down days; that's personal preference.

  • Is the fabric safe for baby?

Yes. OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, Class I (cert 11-36224), the strictest certification tier, for textiles in direct contact with babies under three years. No latex, no disposable-pad chemicals, no hidden coatings. The same safety standard as your baby's own clothing.

  • How do I wash and care for it?

Machine wash at 30°C with similar colours. Hang dry. The fabric is built for repeated wash cycles, but like any garment that gets soaked through, give it time to fully dry between wears, that's why most mothers choose 2 or 3 in rotation.

No tumble dryer, no bleach, no fabric softener (it coats the absorbent core).

  • How long does it last?

Designed for long-term wear. With weekly machine washing and air drying, the absorbent core retains capacity over repeated wash cycles. The most common reason for replacement is band stretch, not material breakdown.

  • Can I sleep in it?

Yes. It's wireless, the band is broad and soft, and the absorbent layer is built for the let-down reflex, including the 3 a.m. one. Many mothers who used to sleep on a towel say this is the part that surprises them most.

  • Can I wear it while pumping?

Yes. The one-hand clip opens for a direct latch or a pump flange. The absorbent core sits behind the cup, so it doesn't interfere with pump suction.

  • Will it start to smell?

Not when washed properly. A 30°C wash releases the milk; an overnight hang-dry resets the core. Most mothers wear 2 or 3 in rotation: one drying, one fresh.

  • How often should I change it?

Once a day in heavy let-down weeks, every 2 days once your supply settles. Air-drying takes a full day, which is why most mothers wear a 2-pack.

  • Has it been tested by an external lab?

The fabric: yes. OEKO-TEX® Class I (cert 11-36224), tested by Shirley Technologies Manchester against 100+ chemicals. The 30 ml absorption is measured through controlled in-house testing on production samples.

About Vemorina

Two founders, one product, one promise: stop the leak, so you stop building your day around it.

  • Who is behind Vemorina?

Jurgen and Alejandra, a couple based in Belgium, planning their own family. The bra started with a conversation at a friend's kitchen table about what no one talks about in postpartum. The full story is here.

  • Where is the bra made?

Designed in Belgium. Knitted by an OEKO-TEX®-certified textile partner. We know exactly who makes our fabric and what's in it.

  • Why is it more expensive than other nursing bras?

    Three reasons:

    • The materials cost more. OEKO-TEX Class I fabric, an absorbent core measured for 30 ml capacity, double-stitched seams. Cheaper fabric wouldn't hold up.
    • It replaces nursing pads. A breastfeeding mother typically uses 60–70 disposable pads per month, roughly €10 a month or €60 over six months. Three Vemorina bras handle the same period.
    • It's built to last beyond breastfeeding. The wireless construction and broad band make it a daily-wear bra for years after your last feed.
  • How do I get in touch?
